Aaron Smith

Mr. Smith is a senior vice president and pension solutions strategist in the Newport Beach office, focusing on liability-driven investments, asset allocation and asset liability management strategies for pension funds. Prior to joining PIMCO in 2021, he spent more than 11 years at NISA Investment Advisors, LLC. While at NISA, he held a variety of positions, including associate head of credit research, and most recently director of client services, where he specialized in custom LDI solutions. He has 18 years of investment experience and holds an undergraduate degree in finance and an MBA from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
